Nicole Brewer is an English language teacher, author, and freelance travel writer. She has traveled to over 40 countries and lived abroad in South Africa, Germany, South Korea and presently in Oman. She has a zest for the expat lifestyle and has a goal of inspiring children to see the world. She is the author of “A Guide to Landing an English Teaching Job Abroad” and the Co-Founder of the I Luv 2 Globe Trot travel site and community. With features in the Guardian, BBC Travel, Forbes, TripAdvisor, Lonely Planet, and National Geographic Traveler she continues to inspire adults and children alike to trot the globe.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Nicole: My dream was to publish a travel themed children’s book to inspire youth to want to travel the world in the future. It has benefited me to see young kids that look like want to do what I do in the future.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Nicole: My nephews inspired me to write a travel children’s book.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Nicole: I had to hire a new illustrator for the book after my first illustrator had an accident and broke her wrist.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Nicole: My desire to finish the project that I started is what pushed me to get it done.
