Welcome to K.I.S.H. Magazine, a publication that honors change-makers, dreamers, and visionaries. We are proud to introduce Juniper Jillian Joy to you in this issue. Juniper’s inspirational journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation has helped her embrace her purpose and motivate others.
Born Tammie Shannon, she has bravely overcome many emotional and physical obstacles before finally deciding to stand up for herself, discover her truth, and take on a new name that reflects her inner child, the teacher she is inside, and the joy she has finally found in life.
Juniper’s dream is to transform the negativity that results in emotional trauma, mental health problems, and physical health issues into healing and self-connection for rekindled hope, faith, and belief.
KISH: Tell us about you…
Juniper Jillian Joy is the result of my amazing mother Linda, father God and the perseverance and desire for change because Tammie Shannon, my previous name, I chose to fight for myself and seek my own truth. I fell in love with me and adopted myself and changed my name. Juniper is my inner child, Jillian is me the teacher and Joy is what I finally have in my life and is my intention for everyone everywhere all around the world to experience the same joy did I do.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Juniper: My dream and intention for my books is to transmute negativity that causes emotional trauma, mental health issues and physical health issues into healing and self-connection for renewed hope, faith and belief so that everyone can experience unconditional love, peace of mind and joy.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Juniper: Before I began my journey to healing my inner child, I didn’t cry or allow myself to feel emotion. I have been so emotionally traumatized that I had emotionally shut down and was unavailable for myself which attracted other toxic people to me. It was my desire to heal my lifetime of emotional scars so that I could truly be open, vulnerable and intimate with myself and others. It wasn’t until I was writing The First Story of Intentions that I became aware that writing my books as a road map for others was why I was born.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Juniper: I feel like my whole life has led to the pursuit of my dream to accept and love myself. At the age of three my sister gave me something I was allergic to that put me in a coma for three days. When I came out of the coma I could feel and sense other people’s pain in a significant way. I’ve had anaphylaxis, a pulmonary embolism: a blood clot in my right lung, I’ve been septic, I’ve gone from wealthy to broke to completely rebuilding my wealth, I lost my voice and couldn’t speak for year and I went from 20/20 perfect vision to 20/200, blind. My childhood emotional trauma led to mental health issues and physical health issues. I now know, that through all of these experiences, God was teaching me and expanding my senses by shutting one down so the others could elevate, sharpen and transform my life. My dream to heal my inner child, experience self-acceptance and self-love was all I ever wanted, being able to write books and songs to teach everyone else how to achieve their dreams… is the cherry on top of this amazing life that God has helped me to achieve.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Juniper: The endless and ever-expanding hope, love and limitless possibilities is what has inspired me in spite of the challenges! I want to educate and teach adults how to heal and stop the human conditioning that my generation grew up under, so that my daughters and everyone, everywhere can take responsibility for the change we want to see. To stop violence, bullying and abuse so that we can all have peace of mind, love in our hearts and joy in all areas of our lives.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence…Dream.
Juniper: Dream it, think it, believe it, see it, imagine it or intention it… whatever IT is that you wish to change in your life! I offer consulting through the Joy University for anyone that wants to change, even if it is just one thing about your life but don’t know where to start.
