KISH: Tell us about you…
Sherley: I am a servant of God, wife, mother, author, bible teacher, speaker, nurse, and entrepreneur. I have over 10 years of nursing experience in areas such as medical-surgical medicine, geriatrics, and home health. I am currently the owner and CEO of Grace Divine Home Care, LLC. As a concerned Registered Nurse and health care professional, I created Grace Divine Home Care with the goal of tackling the disparities among the elderly and disabled population.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University. I completed my Master’s coursework in 2016 from Capella University and is currently completing my Doct
orate in Nurse Practice. I released my first book entitled “The Master’s Piece” in November 2019 under the pen name Precious Gem. I am the founder of Precious Gem Ministries, which is a faith-based organization that exists to provide Christian Bible teaching, resources through books, sermons and prayers to build up and empower women. I currently reside with my loving husband Sam and son Jeremiah in Massachusetts.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Sherley: My dream is to travel and spread the gospel and love of Jesus Christ to women around the globe. I want to encourage them to know that they are Precious Gems for Christ. I believe this dream is a call of God in my life that I must respond to. I believe my obedience to God will cause many women to be blessed and enter their place of destiny.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Sherley: Although I have always had a desire to minister to women over the years and have done so in several capacities, my vision for Precious Gem Ministries was launched in 2019 after the release of my first book entitled” The Master’s Piece.” The message of the book is one which reminds readers that they are who God says they are and can have the life that God desires for them to have if they surrender their lives to the hands of the Master. I picked the pen name “Precious Gem” because it was important for me to no longer be identified with who others said I was, but rather who God created me to be. I wanted to share this same destiny with women around the globe. I want all women to know that they are loved and are Precious in the eyes of God.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Sherley: I have had many struggles related to my own personal insecurities of believing that I had what it took to be all that God called me to be. It took some time to completely severe my thoughts from my past and believe that my flaws or mistakes did not define who I was or what I could do.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Sherley: Apart from the Holy Spirit and The Bible, my greatest source of encouragement has been my husband Sam. He believed in me at times more than I did in myself. His gentle love, godly leadership, spiritual covering, and daily affirmation have propelled me forward daily. Having a consistent prayer life has also been vital for me. Every moment I have spent in prayer has contributed to my overall strength, fervor, and desire to keep pushing!
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
Sherley: When God is your partner, you can make your plans BIG! Don’t be afraid to dream. Whatever you can see by faith will become your reality if you continue to believe God and make faith moves. He loves you and has nothing but the best in store for you.
