K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview featuring Arnikia Robinson!

KISH: Tell us about you.

I am an Author, Publisher, Actress, Entrepreneur, Mentor, Motivational Speaker, and Domestic Violence Expert/Advocate. My second published book Bendable but Unbreakable (my autobiography) is what opened the door for my Motivational Speaking and brought forth my brand (since so many related to my powerful message). I have received numerous awards and recognitions within my community and world wide. I will soon be filming my very own movie inspired by my life story as well as acting for the very first time in another movie. I love helping, motivating, and inspiring others.

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Arnikia: My dream is to inspire everyone through my motto “We May Bend but We Won’t Break.” Meaning that things in life come and go. But if we keep the Faith in God and know that with him we can face all things and that all things are possible; then the situation may bend us but it won’t break us.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Arnikia: What inspired me to tell my story was knowing that other people (women esp) were going through some of the same things that I was going through but didn’t quite know how to deal with the situation. I originally started writing my book as an outlet to deal with life and the curve balls that it was throwing my way. My children, my relationship, and life in general. The weight of the world was on my shoulders and the only way to release some of that pressure was to write about it.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Arnikia: Challenges that I’ve encountered were making sure that I never gave up on myself or my brand. It’s easy to throw in the towel and give up; it’s harder to keep the course. But, since I hate the fact of being a quitter I knew that was not going to be an option. Especially, when you feel that the ones that should be supporting you the most; is not. So my biggest challenge (at first) was expecting a “me” in everyone else.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Arnikia: My grandchildren, children, mom, and husband is what inspired me to keep going regardless of the bumps and bruises. The prayers, the motivational speeches, and the fact of knowing that I’m trying to leave a legend for my younger generations that are attached to me.

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream

Arnikia: Dream so big that the negative talks and doubters seem smaller than the size of a mustard seed. Dream so big that the entire world is your canvas and all you have to do is paint the life that you’ve imagined. Dream so big that they call you crazy; then accomplish your dream to where they’ll have to come back and apologize for it!!!
