KISH: Tell us about you..
My name is Elijah and I’m 11 years old. I live in Maryland with my mom, dad, older brother Ej and my dog Ezra. I love playing video games with my friends, watching movies and hanging out with my family.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Elijah: My dream is to hopefully one day become a writer and an actor. I already have 1 of my stories published about my hair called “The Cap that Dipped”. I have always enjoyed making up stories and have always had a great imagination. If I can accomplish my dream then it would show others that if you want something you can do it if you work hard and never give up.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Elijah: My mom and dad inspired me to want to pursue my dream. They have always been my biggest supporters. They have always told me and my brother that whatever we want in life we can have with hard work.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Elijah: Fortunately, I haven’t really faced any challenges yet with my dream. I know everything won’t go as planned along the way and I know there will be plenty of challenges in the future but for now, everything is going well.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Elijah: My family has always pushed me and my brother to never give up on anything that we start. We have to see it through to the end. No matter the outcome, good or bad. There’s more lessons to learn in failure than in success. So don’t be afraid to fail.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
Elijah: I am no different from anyone else. We all have dreams that we want for ourselves. We all have aspirations in life that we strive to achieve. If you want it, you can have it as long as you don’t give up on your dream.
