KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Evelien: I would love to become a best-selling author, and a successful businesswoman. In order to fulfill my purpose when it comes to ministry, I desire becoming a high demand motivational speaker, and a successful life coach to make an impact in my generation through my political career. In accomplishing my dreams, I will be able to leave a legacy for my children and even generational blessings. The way it would benefit others is that I will be able to help them solve problems that they have been facing in any area of their lives. I will be able to motivate and encourage people, based on my personal experiences that I have been through in my life.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Evelien: I would say God inspired me, because I was once ignorant of who I was called to be. Just like Joseph, he was a young man not knowing his destiny until God showed him dreams that revealed his purpose.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Evelien: I had many challenges, but God has been good all the way. I have faced rejection, lies, gossip, backbiting, slander, betrayals and so many things in my walk with Christ. Before coming to Christ, I came out of a broken family and my childhood was not the way it should be. Also, I had to deal with things from within me such as fear of men, fear of what people would say, not believing in myself, doubts and dealing with words others had spoken over my life of not being good enough.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Evelien: God is really my source of strength because there were many seasons that I had to go through alone and not having people to stand and pray with me. I have learned to push, motivate and compliment myself and keep running the race. There are many times I have said to myself “This is it and I am not doing this anymore. I am giving up.” One thing I learned is that I should not give up on God because He will never give up on me. People will leave and forsake you sometimes, but God will always be there.
