KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
LaDonna: My dream has always been to help people to heal and be who God created them to be. Sharing the books that God has given me to write will be able to share the message with others.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
LaDonna: It was the first God that helped me to see how I could assist Him, with sharing with others. Meeting Dr. Maya Angelou as a 9th grader helped me to have a person to look up to and see how continuing the journey of writing makes a difference.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
LaDonna: Overcoming each obstacle that has come along the way. Sometimes, my jump drives have locked up with books on them, structuring time as a single mom and writer.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
LaDonna: God has been the one constant throughout this journey of writing since I was a teenager. He has assured me and guided me to keep moving, at times when I wasn’t sure what to do next. I am grateful for our relationships. I also had some readers since the first book that have traveled with me every book. Their feedback always lets me know I am doing what God has called me to do. Also knowing that there is someone’s future breakthrough connected to the release of the book is my push forward, no matter what.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
LaDonna: I want you to Dream big and continue to believe in yourself. Always stay true to who God created you to be.
