K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview with Candita Bryan!

KISH: Tell us about you.

I am the host of a faith-based morning show called The Good Morning Show. I started the show as a podcast after beating stage 3 breast cancer in 2017. I discovered the lump after turning on the TV and seeing a breast cancer special. Had I not watched TV that day, I might not be here today. I decided after cancer to live every day like it is my last. In 2019, I stepped out to compete in the Ms./Mrs. Corporate America competition and I won. This was a pivotal moment in my life. I charged into life full force. I launched my non-profit ministry for women, competed an won a business competition with seed money for my startup, I launched my morning show on YouTube and I feel like I’m just getting started. I am a mom to the most wonderful 9 year old in the world. I’m grateful to be here and I’m living life with no regrets.

KISH:What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Candita Bryan: Since I was a child, I wanted to be in entertainment. In college, I studied broadcast communications. My dream is to have the number one faith-based morning show in the world. My passion is to bring people hope and inspiration at the beginning of their day in hopes that it sparks transformation in their lives.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Candita Bryan: I grew up across the Hudson River from the Big Apple. My parents always took me to shows and to broadway. I was inspired by the Today Show, Oprah, and Ricky Lake. I’m clearly an 80’s 90’s baby!

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Candita Bryan: Many years ago I chose to not pursue my dream of moving from Florida to New York after college to stay close to family. I began working in corporate America and my dreams seem to drift farther and farther. After getting married and having my daughter I truly thought there would not be another opportunity to pursue entertainment. When I was diagnosed with Cancer in 2016, I didn’t even know if I would live long enough to see the next day, let alone my future goals.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Candita Bryan: God truly placed friends, sisters, and prayer warriors in my life. I have such a strong sisterhood around me: they pushed me. The person who inspires me most is my daughter. She is watching and I want nothing more than for her to learn about resilience, faith, and wisdom from my life. I am a woman of faith, so above all is my life for Christ who gives me the strength to do all things!

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Candita Bryan: Dream like you know God has placed a heavenly gift on the inside of you that will transform the world!
