I am Caregiver Coach Pat Bailey. After losing my mother, who succumbed to Alzheimers, and craving to find some comfort, I founded a caregiver social justice and equity, boutique consultancy firm, PBAILEY Enterprises, where through the brands, Finding New Tomorrows©™, She Ages Well® and Advance Comfort®, our focus has been the $8.2 trillion, 50+ consumer market with SPECIAL EMPHASIS on services associated with caregiving, Alzheimer’s, and aging.Services rendered include advertising and outreach for the client, University of North Texas
at Fort Worth Health Science Center and their Alzheimer’s research study, Health and Aging Brain Study – Health Disparities. Fifty percent of all Black families are impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and we don’t know why.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing this dream benefit you and others?
Coach Pat: Passionate about caregiving, I envision a world where caregiving is equitably, lovingly and financially sustainable for all families regardless of race or creed.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this work?
Coach Pat: My mother succumbed to Alzheimer’s in 2004 after a 7-year battle. My determination was to help all families learn how to age well together.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while supporting the study?
Coach Pat: The Health and Aging Brain Study Health Disparities is targeted toward those 30 – 90 years of age. It’s one cohort with multiple groups; Black/s African Americans, Hispanics, Non-Hispanic Whites. We have not experienced any unpredictable challenges. We planned for countless hours to be deep in the community across salons, barber shops, beauty supply stores, concerts, festivals and more. There are more Black people in this study than there are for all the Alzheimer’s studies combined in the U.S.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing, regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Coach Pat: Alzheimer’s and its impact on families (caregivers) has been the driver behind the ‘push’.There are over 6.2 million people with Alzheimer’s and the projections out to 2060 state a 3 fold increase. Caregivers are being impacted financially, legally, emotionally and where they work. We must provide sources for deliverance.

Coach Pat: Dreams become reality when we all work together. The same community it took to raise the child will be required to care for the adult as they age well from cradle to grace for generations to come.
