K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview with Delonique Kemp

KISH: Tell us about you..

I live in Lakeland, Florida and I’m a Minister for Faith Celebration Church, Inc., under the local leadership of Bishop Joel and Pastor Tiffanie Brown. As an enthusiastic & purpose-driven leader, I’ve served in various capacities of ministry while at FCC, to include administration, graphic design, conference-coordination, event planning and the youth & worship ministry. I enjoy working as an Image & Brand Identity Consultant & Designer who partners with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to grow their personal and professional image and brand identity. I am passionate about helping the next generation discover and be developed in becoming the best version of who they are and expanding their capacity in what they can do as change-agents for God. I hold a BS in Church Ministries, accompanied with a minor in Business as Missions from Southeastern University. I have learned the importance of understanding the establishment of the Church and its divine purpose of being the blueprint to execute modern brand strategies and develop business institutions. I have completed prophetic intensive training courses, I’m currently finishing her MBA in Executive leadership and am determined to create and build Kingdom establishments in various communities. When I’m not busy working, Minister Kemp enjoys going on relaxing nature walks, engaging in outdoor activities and creating new experiences while traveling.

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Delonique Kemp :On the journey of becoming a corporate attorney, my dream is to see people free to discover and walk in their innate purpose in the industry they are called to, uniquely & unapologetically. When we gain greater clarity in understanding what our individual purpose is, we create space for others to discover THEIR purpose.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Delonique Kemp :There was a monumental season that inspired me to pursue it. I completed high school at the age of 15 and began a business at the age of 21. I was engulfed with success, however, I thought my accomplishments would be the cure of my then, lack of identity. During that point in time of my life, I went through a season where my identity was stifled by what I did to the neglect of my personal self-love, identity and betterment. Due to undergoing a season that brought an awareness of my lack of self-identity, I connected with mentors in my life that spoke love & truth in my life which transformed my identity for the better. It was in that season that I understood the importance of attaining a healthy self- image, fostering healthy- purposeful relationships and receiving transformational mentorship in my life.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Delonique Kemp :While pursuing my dream, I have encountered the challenge of fearing what other people will think. In situations that looked impossible and people questioned whether it would work out or not, I have seen what others may deem as being impossible, become possible.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Delonique Kemp :Hope has kept me pushing regardless of the challenges I’ve encountered. Having a continuous knowing that something great is happening & will happen, keeps me moving forward. Whenever I think that better days are in front me and not only behind me, it inspires me to endure through any challenge or circumstance I may face.

KISH:Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Delonique Kemp :We are born from, in and for VICTORY in every way. In our journey of victory, I strongly believe that one of the greatest gifts given to mankind is the freedom to be uniquely YOU, nothing more and nothing less. We are born to be real, not perfect. Amidst our quirks & idiosyncrasies, I’ve come to understand that all of what is imperfect with us adds to the beauty that lies within us. The way we think and speak to ourselves is important and there is power within us to think ourselves into VICTORY.
