K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview with Elizabeth Johnson!

KISH: Tell us about you..

I am the Director of Marketing for PlaTy Multimedia & Publishing. I was an educator for 10 years. However, within the last year, I decided to explore, accomplish, and shoot for bigger goals. I am currently an author, cake maker, and model. Each of these positions will or have helped me to achieve my goals.

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Elizabeth: My dream was to become an established author, an extraordinary example for women to be empowered by an example that you can achieve all that is set before you. My hope is that women can see my achievements and realize that they can do it too.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Elizabeth: The desire to make my dad proud, and to show my appreciation for everything that he instilled in me gave me the strength to accomplish these dreams.  We often sat in the living room, and I would read my different poems to him which encouraged me to write more.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Elizabeth: The loss of my job to Covid 19, and the fear of being set back allowed me to reinvent myself and to push harder into writing my first book “Just Like My Dad” .

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Elizabeth: My family and friends have been my biggest support system. My writing partner (CEO) Tyrell Plair, and Vice President Alonzo Strange of PlaTy Multimedia also gave me encouragement and strength to not give up on my dream until my dream was complete. Their influence and constant push helped me to reach my goal as an established author.

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Elizabeth: Every accomplishment or advancement in life starts with a dream. Therefore, we must always learn to take our dreams and make them a reality and accomplish them. You must make sure you have the right people in your corner. Never give up on a dream, and we should always dream.
