KISH: Tell us about you..
I am SherVonne Grose, Marriage and Family Therapist. I am the Owner and CEO of SherVonne Grose, MFT, LLC, which is a counseling agency providing individual, couple, and family therapy. In addition, we provide clinical assessments and evaluations to ensure that our clients receive the best level of care from start to finish. While I am a Therapist and business owner, I am also a wife and a mother.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
SherVonne: My dream is to expand SherVonne Grose, MFT, LLC throughout the state of Georgia and beyond. At SherVonne Grose, MFT, LLC, we are in the business to help people live changed lives. It is our mission to help individuals and families achieve GREATER. We want to inspire, encourage, and motivate people to be the best version of themselves and not just settle for mediocrity. We want to educate people about mental health and take away the stigma associated with mental health treatment. Expansion of services will allow quality mental health services throughout the state and beyond. The ultimate goal is to build an empire that empowers people, and that is a win for me and others.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
SherVonne: The dream was already inside of me, but it was my mentor, Stefanie Hughes, LMFT, who lit the fire and gave me the push I needed to move forward in making the dream a reality. I also have to give credit to my husband, who has always encouraged me to be my own boss.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
SherVonne: Dispelling the myths or stigmas about mental health has been a challenge. Getting people, especially people of color, to invest in their emotional and mental wellbeing has been another challenge. The COVID-19 pandemic has also created a barrier or challenge to expanding beyond our current service area.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
SherVonne: I have a great support group that includes my husband, my mentor, my team, my Pastor and 1st Lady, and just so many other wonderful people. My WOW Wednesday viewers along with my support group inspire me to keep going. It is so important to have people who pour into you.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
SherVonne: Dream big, bold dreams then make it happen!
