Gloria: My name is Gloria Ward and I’m the Founder of The I’m Loving Me Project. I founded this digital platform for women in 2018 to inspire women from around the world to live their highest and truest self. When I first started I wanted to show one million women the importance of self-love, but as time went on, I discovered that we not only need self-love but we need coaching and training to show us how we maintain our peace and joy.
I grew up in New York City as the middle child of 6. I’ve always been an ambitious person and always had a deep need to contribute and change the world. I received my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Computer Science from Clark-Atlanta University and I was trained as a Software Engineer. After going through many ups and downs in life, I discovered how the power of not only self-love, self-care, and confidence can catapult you into a new life, but also how important it is to share and give back.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Gloria: My dream is to teach women around the world just how valuable they are and how by living life everyday on purpose, they can discover the true meaning of love, peace and joy. Since I’ve started the I’m Loving Me Project I have accomplished my dream and it feels so good to see our women soak up all the positive energy and the resources to help them on their journey and also see them thrive. Some of our women become business owners, coaches, and career professionals in their field. That’s the best blessing of all.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Gloria: Besides life events? I would say my Grandmother. She was the strongest person I knew but also longed to live a life where she was happy. I want to honor her and show her that you don’t have to sacrifice your happiness. The moment you choose YOU is when everything around you starts to change.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Gloria: The biggest challenge I say is staying organized. There are so many things coming at you on a daily basis as a CEO, sometimes you can get lost in what you’re doing and the next thing you know you’re going down this rabbit hole. The ability to stay organized is what I will say is the biggest.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Gloria: My Team. I have an excellent team who pushes me every day to stay on task. They tell me what to do lol. You know they say that you should build a team of people who are smarter than you and I did just that. It works. Without them, I don’t know what I would do.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
Gloria: Dream of your goals every day and watch the universe bring it to fruition. We all have dreams of what we want to be, who we want our kids to be, and how we would like our life to be. The most important thing we have to remember is if we want to make our dreams come true, we have to fall in love with the life we have now. When we appreciate everything we have currently, the universe has to give us more. So when you dream, dream big, the world is waiting on you.
