K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview with Trailblazer Pastor Lisa D. Armstrong

KISH: Tell us about you.

Pastor Lisa: I am the Under Shepherd of Kingdom Healing Ministries. My purpose is to live and to walk in the love and  deliverance power of Jesus Christ. My passion is to provide an environment of healing and restoration for women who are broken and despondent to life’s challenges, misfortunes and dilemmas. Women’s Fellowship is my passion and I have provided avenues to assist women to walk in the liberty that has been granted through Jesus Christ. “He Restores My Soul”  is just one of my many fellowships that was birthed from the death of my mother in her battle with breast cancer.

In addition, I pinned my first book, “The Cape That Almost Destroyed Me”, in September 2019. Not only am I an author, I am the Founder & C.E.O. of LDA Collections, International where I provide an array of items that encompass inspirational and empowering quotes for the total man.

I am the wife of Elder Tod Armstrong, Sr. and am the mother of two, Tatiana Henry and Tod Armstrong, Jr. I received my Associates Degree of Theology from Christian World College of Theology and my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management at University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Pastor Lisa: My dream is to empower, and to be a conduit of God’s glory to the world. Currently, I am creating prayer pillows that express inspirational quotes, memorials of loved ones and the genuine agape love. My dream is to broaden my brand to inspire and to bring hope to terminally ill cancer patients, battered men and women, college students and children. There is a whole world that is in need of a message that God loves them unconditionally.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Pastor Lisa: The Most High God. Acts 17:28 declares, it’s in Him that we live, we move and we have our being. I believe that I am because of Him. Without Him, I would not have the determination, drive, and tenacity to pursue my dreams.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Pastor Lisa: Time–I work as a Senior Supervisor for a Fortune 500 company. After my regular 9-5 work schedule, I put in overtime pushing my brand to the fullest extent. So, I have two full time jobs at one time.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Pastor Lisa: My mother. She was a woman of great perseverance and stamina. Although she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, she did not allow that to stop her from moving forward. She fought hard even until her untimely death. However, the greatest lesson that I learned from her is that you don’t have time to feel sorry for yourself, nor wallow in self pity. If you fall, dust yourself off, and keep going. There is always another way to accomplish every goal that you are in pursuit of.

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Pastor Lisa: Go Forth! Continue to pursue every desire of your heart. Obstacles are hurdles to overcome not to be a stumbling block.
