KISH: Tell us about you..
I am a former Atlanta-based Gospel Music Artist. I started my career in journalism in 2013 with an online radio talk show called Style with Trysh Show. The show’s primary intent was to discuss styling advice with others. The Style with Trysh Show made the transition from radio to broadcast tv in 2019. We collaborated with Mark Squared Studios to air the "Style with Trysh TV Show and on a regional Atlanta TV broadcast, The AIB Network streamed and broadcasted on the Experience OnDemand Network. The show was ruled the most-watched streaming series after just one month of the telecast.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Trish: My dream is to become a source and entity that encourages, educates, inspires, and brings together like-minded women who encourage one another with practical vices that provoke growth.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Trish: My mother told me something that clicked in my head one day and it caused me to be intentional when pursuing my dreams. As we were on our way to visit my grandmother’s resting site, my mom asked the question “I wonder how many unlived dreams are lying out here in these graves”. So, she sparked that inside of me.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Trish: Building has been a major challenge for me thus far. I can be an introvert and I’m not always “on”; however, none of that matters because while you are building you must push past that and remain engaged with those who support and follow your journey.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Trish: After losing a large amount of money, I was ready to quit; however, my husband urged me to take a brief break, collect my thoughts and revisit my journey. I also have my daughter working alongside me and being an example to her means life to me.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
Trish: Dreams begin in the heart and mind. I believe God places them there so that they stay within our memory banks throughout different phases of our lives until we begin to pursue them. Fear and excuses are enemies of dreams because they quench one’s confidence and leave us in a state of paralysis. I have found that writing my ideas and thoughts down on a pad with dates and then compiling a checklist of action items to accomplish those thoughts & ideas. Then step by step begin to “walk out ” those action items until that checklist begins to deplete. We only have one earthly life to live.
