Corisa love for helping other’s ensued her purpose today for which the Lord gave her a vision to begin her current nonprofit Reflections of Christ, Inc.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
CW: Today my dream is to help as many women, teenage girls, and children as possible all around the world through ROC. For those that we help to be able to come to know the Lord and establish a personal relationship with him. In addition, to gain all the necessities needed to live a whole and
healthy life.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
CW: As a single mom and the product of being raised by a single mom, I have seen firsthand the struggles of what many women face when trying to pursue their dreams and raise a family alone. ROC was a vision from the Lord that became a dream. A dream to help women and families all around the world to establish and live God filled and purpose driven lives. We have all been sent here for an ordained purpose and sometimes the course of life we are set upon will cause us to fall away from what our true purposes are. I wanted God to use me to be an agent that would help those who life had gotten ahold of. To get them back to the place of purpose and living a fulfilled life knowing they have been called and created for something as special as they are.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
CW: Challenges are inevitable and when we are pursuing destiny we are sure to come upon many. In pursuing my dream the challenges I have stumbled upon thus far have been mostly financial. In addition, some personal challenges of feeling inadequate and unequipped.
Pushing through my challenges I really find my inspiration comes from the strength I find in the Lord, and also knowing the legacy I want to leave behind for my children. I want them to be able to continue to live out the work the Lord has started through me, and take it to greater heights for which I was unable to.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream CW: Dream….. Continuously. Dreams are our inner aspirations that we hold dear in an effort to make the world a better place. To dream is to live, because as long as we dream we will always have something to strive towards for a greater tomorrow.
