K.I.S.H. Magazine Exclusive Interview with World-Changers; Lovie Creer & Laila Creer!

KISH: Tell us about you..

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: We are teen sisters who started our company called LovLai Body Treats in which we handmake bath and body products that look and smell like desserts and fun treats.

We’ve been in business for almost a year now, March 18th 2021 will make it a full year.

Lovie – I am a 17 year old senior in high school. I dance in the marching band as a Majorette.

Laila – I am a 13 year old 8th grader in middle school. I play the violin in an orchestra and I also sing in Chorus.

We both love to laugh and watch reality shows together in our down time. Seafood is both of our favorite foods and we also enjoy snacking on hot fries and gummie candies.

We don’t know how we’re so much alike without being twins but it’s fun having someone around everyday who reminds you of yourself.

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: Our dream is to grow our company and expand it out of our home into a brick and mortar. We would like to employ others and eventually start franchises across the US in order to give others the opportunity to own their own business as well.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: Our mom inspired us to pursue our dreams. Every month for years she would come to us and say “have you thought about what type of business you’d like to start” and we would always say no because we really couldn’t think of anything that interested us enough to start doing a business in. But last year in March when the pandemic hit we went to her and said that we were ready to start a business.  She was so happy and surprised.  She asked what we have in mind and we said that we wanted to reinvent the Body Scrubs that she would make for us. She immediately gave us the tools that we needed to be successful.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: Well it’s challenging not to be able to get out in the public eye much in order to showcase our products and personalities. Selling via ecommerce is great but getting out and meeting new people and networking is even better.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: Our parents and we both inspire and encourage each other. We talk about our business, social life and school to each other. When one is having a better day than the other we’re able to balance each other out. Most of the time we’re very happy and enthusiastic so we don’t really look at our challenges as a bad thing, only learning experiences and growing pains.

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Lovie Creer & Laila Creer: Dream so big that it makes you feel like it’s impossible to accomplish,  then write down your dreams and create a strategy. Daily look at your goals and talk about them to people you trust. When you hear it it just makes it real and it feels good to see yourself working towards something bigger than yourself.

Every step matters because the second step is contingent on the first step.
