Tesha, Chy and Shawn (D’VYNE FAITH) met through the common ground of our love to sing in and around the city of Atlanta. We were an acapella group for a long time before band members recruited us. The group was formulated in 1996 and at the first rehearsal, names were tossed around for consideration. We all agreed, finally on the power play on the word “DIVINE” because it is one of the attributes of God and we all had tremendous “FAITH” in God. We wanted others to be able to see the God in us as we sang to His glory. Thus, “D’VYNE FAITH” was born.
D’Vyne Faith is comprised of a rich mixture of diverse gospel voices. We have been singing all of our lives and God has allowed us to come together to form what can only be described as awesomely sweet, tantalizing sounds of full-blown gospel. The group has been touring Atlanta and the surrounding states spreading the Word in song. Opening for gospel greats such as Dottie Peoples, William Murphy, Dorothy Norwood, Harvey Watkins, Jr. & The Canton Spirituals, and The Gospel Four, D’Vyne Faith ministers from an assortment of songs which includes old familiars such as ‘I Feel
Good’ and ‘Stand By Me’ along with original songs written by the group members as well.
With the group having several lead voices, our style of music is known to sway from traditional to contemporary gospel with a twist of jazz and Caribbean flavas.
Over the years, D’Vyne Faith has gone through several transitions, trials and tests that have developed and formed them into the three-women power house gospel group that it is today.

Chyreon Toler
Chyreon Toler is originally from Dallas, Texas. Steeped in athletics and a natural desire to sing, she is referred to as a new age disciple. Chy, uses her gifts and talents to touch others by showing them just who Jesus Christ truly is. There is a saying in the Christian world, “Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.” This has become the mantra which guides her interaction with others. She stands firmly on Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And that does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly[a] with your God.” These words are her motivation to share Christ wherever she travels in life and is the foundation of her evangelism. The Bible verse in which she hangs all of her life experiences can be found in Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct they path.”
Chy is certainly a light in the Kingdom that shines brightly wherever she goes. Her natural wit and quick one-liners will have you laughing long after the moment. Her smile lights up the room and brings joy to any space that employs her presence.

KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
Tesha, Chy and Shawn: Our dream is to be able to deliver the Good News in song. That, in itself, will benefit us just by being obedient while others will be uplifted to LIVE life in a fruitful and most abundant way.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
Tesha, Chy and Shawn: We had no choice about pursuing our dream. We just knew it was/is something that was a part of us and must be done.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
Tesha, Chy and Shawn: Our challenges are much like any other group. We have our moments of disagreement. We fight hard and we love each other hard. People say we are hilarious because when we go at it, we GO at it. Our sisterhood is real and humorous. Other challenges include industry rules such as paying dues.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
Tesha, Chy and Shawn: We keep pushing because we know it is worth the sacrifice to make good music and touch the hearts of the people. We are inspired by friends and family who share our calling and the shear excitement of serving people.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
Tesha, Chy and Shawn: FINAL THOUGHT: Sometimes your success is connected to someone/something else. One must have a keen eye and discerning heart to understand one’s station in life and the way to his/her own destiny. Life assignments such as ours are not an easy task to complete. If it were easy, EVERYONE would be doing this. Engage possibilities with open minds and stay on the side of positive; focus is key. Remember to include love in all that you do and watch the dividend of return (which is not always monetary) pour in. God is good!
DREAM BIG, DREAM OFTEN!…..If you can see it in your mind, it will manifest in time.
