Meet AMILLION the man who went through nightmares to make his dreams come true!

KISH: Tell us about you..

Amillion is an International Hip-Hop Artist, Award Winning Poet and Delaware Best Selling Author. He was recently selected For(bes) For the Culture list in 2020, 40 under 40 and awarded 2 Keys to the City. With his endless awards and media coverage  Amillion Mayfield says, his proudest accomplishment is being the Father to his beautiful daughter Aaliyah Adams-Mayfield.

KISH:  What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?

Amillion: My Dream is to be one of the greatest Wordsmiths of all time! Using my God given gift of word to be the voice of the voiceless. Impact the world, culture and community through my music, poetry, books and community activism. The goal is to inspire millions to be one in a million and not another statistic. I’m currently living my dreams and still killing my nightmares to this day.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?

Amillion: My Mother Brenda Faye Farmer who was a poet, actress and entrepreneur who raised me primarily as a single parent. She negated her dream when she moved me to Dover, Delaware from Washington D.C. to escape poverty. My Father Lugas Mitchell Mayfield had a gift of gaft that also influenced my way with words. I’m motivated by hate and inspired by love, so it’s all good to me I use both energies daily.

KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?

Amillion: The challenge of being one of the few from a small state (Delaware) to make it big in the music industry. I had to sacrifice a lot of time away from home on the road touring to establish myself and make a living.

I’ve had to overcome lost many friends like my music broski and producer Victory aka Tyorzel Gaston. I’ve overcome distance of family and my daughter, but thanks to a 5 hour road trips, FaceTime and the Glory of God our bond remains strong. She is a rising star of her own in cheerleading, gymnastics and junior honor society so she understands dedication already at the age of 13.

I’ve overcome the lost of money, a house and  more but I never lost my faith in God as I now stand a successful CEO, Artist and Father!!! I learned lessons from my mistakes and applied them to my blessings.

KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?

Amillion: My daughter and the thousands of youth I’ve met inspire my energy to keep pushing. I feel like Youth Lives Matter most!

Prayers and those who live through me vicariously inspire me to keep pushing. For example, I have friends serving serious time in the penitentiary for crimes they didn’t commit. They give me a real sense of humility. Giving up is never an option for me. My test is my testimony!

KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.

Amillion: My advice to anyone reading this right now is be willing to go through nightmares to make your dreams come true! Be blessed, be true, be you! Dream it, pray it, study it, chase it, protect it… Live the Dream!
