OWN’S RELATIONSHIP SERIES “THE NEVER EVER METS” TESTS ONLINE RELATIONSHIPS IN REAL LIFE

The new dating series is currently in full swing as couples find out if their virtual relationships can last in the real world

The Never Ever Mets, hosted by actress and rapper, Ta’Rhonda Jones, features seven couples who take their online relationships into the real world, all while navigating a variety of challenges and relationship-building exercises led by Ta’Rhonda and expert relationship therapists. All seven couples have been virtually dating for some time (one couple dated online for12 years!) and believe they may have found lasting love – only they have never met each other in person.

Almost halfway through the season, the couples have all met face-to-face for the very first time in the house. Five couples so far have found that their internet love translates to real life, while two couples discovered that their romantic relationships could not survive off the screen.

This week, Ta’Rhonda introduces yet another exercise in the form of a group activity where the couples will learn the art of Japanese bondage, Shibari, to help practice healthy communication and increase intimacy in their relationships. When the couples return to the house after the intimate exercise, feeling more relaxed than before, family members of the cast show up and express their disdain for some of the relationships in the house.

Tune-in to The Never Ever Mets on Friday nights at 8/7c on OWN and streaming on Max.
