THE TREASURE INSIDE YOU BY RONISHA WILLIAMS

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of
us.

Our bodies are like gift wrapping, the real treasure is on the inside. What you carry is great. Invest in your calling and treasure the spirit of God down on the inside of you. Never get distracted by the wrapping, stay focused on the treasure you carry. When we are born we come out beautifully wrapped,
everyone see this precious bundle of joy. You are perfectly swaddled in a blanket, the gift you are inside the blanket is priceless. As you grow and live life the wrapping gets a few bumps and bruises, a few tares. Life begins to shape you, the older you get issues begin to take root in the heart. The wrapping don’t look so beautiful anymore, yet the inside is a bit broken. You have a treasure on the inside of you.

You see everyone goes through life and experience a few bumps and bruises some greater that others, its part of the making of you. Don’t get distracted by the wrapping. The storms of life will clump our lives and we begin to carry the weight of our issues. The wrapping of our lives is torn, scared, ripped, crumbled and we need the potter to mold and shape us back together. You see although we are earthen vessels we must remember Isaiah 64:8~ But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we are the work of thy hand. The important piece we must remember is that through it all we must center out lives in Christ. The potter cannot mold the clay until it’s perfectly centered on the
wheel. Once the lump of clay has enough water and is centered on the wheel, the actual molding begins.

The wheel starts spinning, the potters hands press down on the clay to create an opening. WOW! The potter then begins to move his hands deep down inside the middle of the clay. The potter continues consistently shaping and molding the clay to result in the vessel he desires it to be. Do you see it? The
pressure in your life was God creating and opening to your heart to shape, to mold you into the vessel he desires you to be. The treasure of God invading your life is beyond breath taking. Yes you have some scars, yes life sometimes took you by surprise but you cannot get distracted by the wrapping, the trials of your life. What you carry on the inside of you is great, a treasure.

What you have been through brought out the greater inside you. Treasure what you carry and stay centered in Christ because he is daily molding us all. Many of you reading this are experiencing this now, don’t get discouraged trust the potter’s hands at work. You are God’s mater piece in the making. God know exactly what he is doing with you, stay centered in him and allow the pressure to open you up to the the father. Don’t get distracted by your wrapping what you have on the inside is a great treasure. Piece by piece, layer by
layer he is molding you together. You are his vessel and he shapes you to what he desires you to be.

Now that you know you are a treasure and what you carry is great, invest in it. Nothing is more greater than investing in your relationship with God. Nothing is greater than being a vessel of honor and not dishonor. I encourage you today to be all that God is calling you to be. Spread your wings and soar like an eagle. You carry a great treasure inside you. Though you was broken, bruised, wounded it was all part of your making. Remember 2 Corinthians 4:8-10~ We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest
in our body. This is all done to the glory of God, let your life glorify the father. You are the vessel God chose to put his treasure in. Your body, the shell was just the wrapping the real treasure is on the inside of you. You have greatness, you have power, you have all that it takes to excel in God. Be the vessel he is calling and treasure what’s on the inside of you. Never lose sight that God has put his treasure in you, it’s not about the wrapping.
