EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW FEATURING TRAILBLAZER PROPHETESS Stephanie Mathis
KISH: Tell us about you..
ST: If I had to tell you a little about myself, I would say that Prophetess Stephanie Mathis is a woman of God who has a deep love for prayer. She’s an intercessor who postures herself daily in the face of God, to hear his voice for the masses. She’s a trailblazer, with a passion for the broken and lost. She is a well, sought after prophet of the Lord who travels extensively proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ nationally and abroad. Prophetess Mathis is the founder and Senior Pastor of Triumph Ministries of Sumter, SC. She’s the founder of Core connect mentoring program, the author of, “The Mask of the First Lady, Wounded but not Scarred,” and an entrepreneur.
Her first ministry is her family of which she is the wife of Elder Ray Mathis (her co-laborer in ministry) and the mother of one daughter and two sons.
This balanced woman of God loves to read, study, travel and is very adventurous.
KISH: What is your dream and how will accomplishing your dream benefit you and others?
ST: My dream is to impact broken women by empowering them through every encounter; whether it’s face to face, in prayer, by the preached word, or by the laying on of hands for impartation. My dream will allow women to understand that they can be healed and made whole. This is beneficial to me because I am able to witness these women re-defining themselves and walking into their fullness. These women can then be a model for others who have gone through similar situations. They also have the mindset of knowing that they can do all things through Christ who is their strength.
KISH: Who or what inspired you to pursue this dream?
ST: My past personal experience of brokenness is what inspired me. As I reflect on what I have gone through, I know for certain, that it was nothing but the Grace of God that sustained me. During the times in which I thought that I couldn’t fulfill this dream, there was a place of prayer that I would hear God’s voice…times when I thought that I was incapable of executing this dream, I would hear God’s still small voice saying, “There is nothing too hard for me…Anything is possible to those who believe.” It was Hearing God’s voice telling me to pursue, even when I didn’t see the full picture.
KISH: What challenges have you encountered while pursuing your dream?
ST: While pursuing my dream, I have encountered many challenges. One such challenge was knowing that there was a lot within me, but my resources were limited. However, I didn’t allow this to stop me from believing and birthing the dream. I began to work towards my goals in “baby steps” and eventually began to see progress. With determination, consistency and personal finances, I began hosting the Women of Exertion (W.O.E.) Women’s Conference. This year was the 9th annual conference. The theme was, “Come out of Hiding and Know your Worth.” Many women came from all over to be healed… Chicago, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, New York, and South America to this power packed conference
KISH: Who or what inspired you to keep pushing regardless of the challenges you’ve encountered?
ST: There was a core group of people who inspired me to keep pushing regardless of challenges; my husband, Elder Ray Mathis , my church, Triumph Ministries, my spiritual covering, Apostle Elise Banks, a general in the faith, Chief Apostle Butler, my Dad, Dr. Alec Bradley and my mother, Carolyn Robinson, who transitioned to be with the Lord on September 19,2018. Each of these individuals were a vital voice in my life who encouraged me, prayed for me and most of all they believed in me and my dream.
KISH: Please provide final thoughts/advice for others by finishing this sentence… dream.
ST: You can accomplish anything, but you must first have a dream. The dream is within you, but it’s not for you. Someone is waiting for your Dream. Never devalue your dream. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
